Kirsty

Meet Kirsty, a BACP registered psychotherapist on our online counselling team. Kirsty specialises in supporting people living with chronic illnesses, chronic pain, and fatigue or disability. She holds an MSc in Counselling and Therapeutic Communication, a BA (Hons) in Psychology and an FdSc in Integrative Counselling Practice. Her session fee is €75.

As someone with personal experience of living with chronic pain, she understands the profound impact living with a chronic condition can have on every aspect of your life. She has supported people with a wide range of conditions such as fibromyalgia, ME/CFS, Endometriosis, POTS, Epilepsy, Stroke recovery, Renal failure, Chronic Lyme among many others. She helps people to navigate issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues and loss.

Kirsty describes her way of working as integrative-relational approach. This means that she can draw on multiple approaches to psychotherapy to tailor a unique approach to each client. She places particular emphasis on the importance of the relationship between the client and counsellor and believes the creation of a safe, and healing space is vital to creating lasting change for the client.

She prides herself on creating a therapy space that feels natural and welcoming. She holds an informal, down-to-earth approach to create a space where you can be yourself without pretence or fear of judgement.
She strives to help you to feel more empowered, to have silenced that inner critic that says you're not enough, and to have found ways to live a meaningful life alongside your chronic condition.
