Colette’s own life experience and desire to understand the human body brought her to where she is today.
Having spent almost two decades in the classroom as a post primary teacher, her desire to begin to make changes were too strong to deny. During her time in the classroom she immersed herself into years of study and practice in the world of health and nutrition. Whilst seeking answers for her own health issues she began to understand the impact and importance of nutritional and lifestyle changes on the human body.
Colette works with clients experiencing a range of health issues, such as digestive concerns, skin conditions, weight concerns, autoimmune conditions and more, but has a passion for helping women of all ages on hormonal and menstrual conditions. She incorporates a range of therapies into her nutritional practices with clients and adapts a holistic approach – looking at each person physically emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
Over the past number of years, whilst working closely with women in her clinic, she began to notice a reoccurring theme… many of these women had very little understanding of their physical bodies and how their menstrual cycles were affecting their lives. Women were presenting with menstrual and hormonal issues but had very little awareness of how to nourish and nurture themselves – an insight and awareness that wasn’t offered to them in school. This led Colette to develop Blossom, a menstrual cycle awareness project aimed to educate girls aged 8-18+. Blossom is everything every one of us wished we had growing up. It is designed to support young tweens and teens physically and mentally through those pivotal first few years of adolescence and beyond, to offer them support to understand themselves better. Colette delivers Blossom through Mum/Dad & Daughter workshops, School/Club talks and workshops plus much more!
Colette is delighted to bring Blossom workshops to Four Swans from November onwards. She will also have one-to-one availability Sunday mornings
